Hailing from Harare originally, Jestine has been part of The Roundhouse family for over five years. Starting as a hostess in 2009, her positive attitude and her energetic spirit has seen her rise through the ranks. This year we were proud to appoint her as junior manager to The Roundhouse. Jestine’s passion for  all things food has made her one of our most valued team members and this is why we are sure her favourite recipe will be one of your favourites too.

Marinated pork chops with baby veggies.

Serves 2


  • 300g pork chops

  • garlic powder

  • rosemary

  • soya sauce

  • olive oil

  • baby carrots

  • baby marrows

  • cauliflower

  • green beans

  • salt

  • pepper


  1. Preheat oven at 180 ℃

  2. Mix garlic powder, rosemary, soya sauce, salt, pepper and olive oil to make a marinade for your pork chops

  3. Add your chops to the marinade and leave for 2 hrs

  4. Wash your baby carrots, baby marrows and green beans

  5. Cut your cauliflower into small florets

  6. Place all your veggies into a steamer

  7. Steam your veggies for approximately ten minutes so that they are still crunchy

  8. Roast the pork chops for 15mins in the oven until they are cooked through but still tender.

  9. Place all your elements on a white plate to offset the bright the colour of your veggies

  10. Garnish with a sprig of coriander

  11. Then serve
